History of Santo Domingo de la Frontera Mission

The Mission of Santo Domingo de la Frontera was established on August 30, 1775 by the Dominican Fathers Manuel García and Miguel Hidalgo, the religious center was originally located 12 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean and 105 kilometers north of the mission of Our Lady of the Rosary of vineyard. In 1798, for a greater supply of water, he moved to his current place, which corresponded to Father Jorge's neck.
